US and EU users who prioritise a spotless security record — no major hack since 2011 — and want a serious pro-grade trading terminal.
Institutions and funds requiring an SEC-registered venue with segregated qualified custody and audited on-chain reserves.
Active spot traders chasing the deepest global liquidity and the widest listing catalogue outside the US perimeter.
Traders who mix spot and on-chain — the Web3 wallet, DEX aggregator and Ethereum L2 X Layer sit inside the same account as CEX pairs.
Long-horizon EU holders who want the oldest continuously-operating exchange (2011) with conservative listings and full MiCA licensing.
Derivatives-first traders who want tighter perp funding and a maker-friendly fee schedule; accept offshore regulatory footprint.

Arbitrum is one of the leading Ethereum Layer-2 optimistic rollups, developed by Offchain Labs and launched to mainnet in August 2021. Arbitrum One (the general-purpose L2) and Arbitrum Nova (an AnyTrust-based chain for social and gaming applications) together represent one of the largest L2 ecosystems by total value locked (TVL). ARB is the governance token, launched via one of crypto's largest airdrops in March 2023.
In 2026, Arbitrum One consistently holds approximately $18 billion in TVL, making it one of the two largest L2s alongside Base. The Arbitrum ecosystem is dominated by DeFi — GMX (perpetuals), Camelot (DEX), Radiant Capital (lending, though following a 2024 exploit reconstitution), Pendle (yield tokenisation), and dozens of other established protocols. Tokenised equity infrastructure has also grown meaningfully with Robinhood Chain (launched July 2026 on Arbitrum Orbit) bringing tokenised stock exposure to 120 countries.
The Orbit framework — Arbitrum's equivalent of the OP Stack — has been adopted by numerous chains including Robinhood Chain, various application-specific chains, and Layer-3 chains that settle to Arbitrum One. Orbit is a mature technology stack with substantial third-party adoption, though it does not have the same shared-liquidity vision as OP Stack's Superchain.
Arbitrum uses optimistic rollup technology similar to Optimism's design: transactions execute off-chain and are batched and posted to Ethereum L1 for security. Fraud proofs allow challenges within a 7-day window (though Arbitrum uses a multi-round interactive fraud proof system that is fundamentally different from Optimism's single-round approach).
The Nitro upgrade in 2022 was Arbitrum's biggest technical evolution, moving from custom OVM-derived infrastructure to a WASM-based system that compiles Ethereum-native Geth for execution. This significantly reduced transaction fees and improved developer compatibility.
Block times are approximately 250 milliseconds with practical finality within seconds on the L2. Withdrawal to Ethereum L1 takes 7 days through the fraud proof window (or faster via liquidity-based bridges). Transaction fees are typically well under $0.02.
The Stylus environment, launched in progressive rollout during 2024-2025, enables smart contract development in Rust, C, and C++ alongside Solidity — an unusually broad language support that opens Arbitrum development to non-Solidity developers.
ARB has a total supply of 10 billion tokens with a maximum annual inflation of 2%. Distribution:
As of July 2026, circulating supply sits at approximately 4.5-5 billion ARB. Team and investor vesting continues through 2026-2027. The Arbitrum DAO governance controls the substantial treasury, which has been used for ecosystem grants, retroactive funding, and various strategic initiatives.
ARB's value accrual mechanism has been progressively developing. Sequencer revenue on Arbitrum One has been substantial, and the DAO has explored various mechanisms to route this revenue to ARB holders or protocol operations. As of 2026, ARB is primarily a governance token with indirect value accrual through DAO treasury management.
Arbitrum has been particularly strong in DeFi and specifically in derivatives. Its TVL is heavily weighted toward lending markets, perpetual DEXs, and yield-generating protocols rather than consumer applications.
Arbitrum's 2026 setup is one of maintenance and progressive evolution. It has one of the largest L2 ecosystems, sustained DeFi TVL, growing tokenised RWA activity via Robinhood Chain on Orbit, and a substantial DAO treasury that funds ongoing ecosystem development.
The bull case is decisive tokenised RWA and tokenised equity growth on Arbitrum Orbit chains (Robinhood Chain particularly) driving fee revenue and network activity. The bear case is L2 activity concentration on Base at Arbitrum's expense, combined with slower ARB value accrual mechanism development.

Analysis last updated:
Arbitrum (ARB) trades at $0.085612 with a 24-hour volume of $37.83M and a market capitalization of $566.31M. The asset is currently ranked #92 among all tracked cryptocurrencies.
In the last 24 hours, the ARB price has fallen +3.83%. On a seven-day window, Arbitrum has retraced +4.27%, under sustained selling pressure on both windows. Short-term moves are often amplified by liquidity, news flow, and derivatives positioning, so confirm signals across multiple indicators before acting.
Arbitrum's all-time high of $2.39 was set on January 12, 2024. The current price sits +96.42% below that peak. Distance from the all-time high is a common reference point when evaluating long recoveries and macro support or resistance.
Buying Arbitrum (ARB) is a five-step routine once you have picked the right venue and pair. The steps below mirror what most investors do today.
You can also use the Arbitrum converter above to estimate how much ARB you would get for a given dollar amount before placing the order.
Whether Arbitrum is a good investment depends on your goals, time horizon, and tolerance for volatility. Like all cryptocurrencies, ARB carries real market risk: prices can rise or fall sharply in a day, and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future returns.
