US and EU users who prioritise a spotless security record — no major hack since 2011 — and want a serious pro-grade trading terminal.
Institutions and funds requiring an SEC-registered venue with segregated qualified custody and audited on-chain reserves.
Active spot traders chasing the deepest global liquidity and the widest listing catalogue outside the US perimeter.
Traders who mix spot and on-chain — the Web3 wallet, DEX aggregator and Ethereum L2 X Layer sit inside the same account as CEX pairs.
Long-horizon EU holders who want the oldest continuously-operating exchange (2011) with conservative listings and full MiCA licensing.
Derivatives-first traders who want tighter perp funding and a maker-friendly fee schedule; accept offshore regulatory footprint.

ZetaChain is a Layer 1 blockchain built for universal omnichain interoperability. Rather than connecting chains through bridges, ZetaChain embeds native cross-chain logic at the protocol layer: its validators observe and attest to transactions on connected chains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana, enabling smart contracts on ZetaChain to hold assets and trigger actions on those external chains directly.
The native token is ZETA. It pays gas on ZetaChain, serves as the bonding asset for cross-chain messaging fees, and secures the network through delegated Proof-of-Stake. ZetaChain launched mainnet in February 2024 after a lengthy testnet phase. The project was co-founded by Hai Nguyen and Brandon Iles, who previously worked at Compound and other DeFi protocols. The chain runs on Cosmos SDK with an EVM execution layer (Ethermint), making it compatible with both Cosmos IBC tooling and EVM smart contracts.
ZETA trades on major centralized exchanges and on ZetaChain's own cross-chain DEX infrastructure. The live price on this page updates every 60 seconds as a volume-weighted average across the primary venues.
Factors that drive ZETA price:
The chart and ticker above reflect live market data; the editorial content below is written at a point in time.
ZetaChain connects chains without traditional bridges by using a threshold-signature scheme (TSS). A set of ZetaChain validators collectively hold private key shares for accounts on every supported external chain. When a cross-chain transaction is initiated, the validator set reaches consensus and co-signs the outbound transaction on the destination chain. No wrapped token is minted — the native asset is moved by the validators acting as a distributed custodian.
Three components make the system work:
The architecture trades some trust assumptions (you rely on ZetaChain validator set honesty) for the elimination of bridge smart contracts, which have historically been the largest source of cross-chain hacks.
ZetaChain and LayerZero are both described as omnichain protocols, but they operate differently. LayerZero is a messaging layer — it sends arbitrary bytes across chains, and bridging/swapping logic is built on top by application developers. ZetaChain is a sovereign L1 that natively holds assets on connected chains and runs the cross-chain logic itself. Compare with Avalanche subnets for another model of multi-chain architecture.
ZetaChain's most distinctive feature is native Bitcoin support. Unlike wBTC or cbBTC, which wrap BTC into an ERC-20 token on another chain, ZetaChain validators directly custody native BTC via TSS. A user can send BTC to a ZetaChain-generated deposit address and have it available for use in EVM smart contracts on ZetaChain without ever touching a bridge UI.
What this enables:
The TSS custody model carries its own risk: if the ZetaChain validator set is compromised, native BTC held in TSS accounts could be lost. The set is designed to require a large supermajority to sign, but the trust assumption is different from Ethereum L1 bridge security.
ZETA has a capped supply of 2.1 billion tokens. At mainnet launch, approximately 20% was circulating, with the remainder subject to multi-year vesting for the team, investors, and ecosystem reserves. Staking on ZetaChain uses delegated PoS via the Cosmos SDK staking module: holders delegate to validators and earn staking rewards paid in ZETA.
ZETA is listed on several major centralized exchanges since its mainnet launch. It is also available via ZetaChain's own cross-chain swap infrastructure.

ZetaChain solves a real problem — cross-chain fragmentation — but the solution introduces its own trust and execution risks.

Analysis last updated:
ZetaChain (ZETA) trades at $0.033599 with a 24-hour volume of $4.48M and a market capitalization of $50.72M. The asset is currently ranked #421 among all tracked cryptocurrencies.
In the last 24 hours, the ZETA price has fallen +2.07%. On a seven-day window, ZetaChain has retraced +1.59%, under sustained selling pressure on both windows. Short-term moves are often amplified by liquidity, news flow, and derivatives positioning, so confirm signals across multiple indicators before acting.
ZetaChain's all-time high of $2.85 was set on February 15, 2024. The current price sits +98.82% below that peak. Distance from the all-time high is a common reference point when evaluating long recoveries and macro support or resistance.
Buying ZetaChain (ZETA) is a five-step routine once you have picked the right venue and pair. The steps below mirror what most investors do today.
You can also use the ZetaChain converter above to estimate how much ZETA you would get for a given dollar amount before placing the order.
Whether ZetaChain is a good investment depends on your goals, time horizon, and tolerance for volatility. Like all cryptocurrencies, ZETA carries real market risk: prices can rise or fall sharply in a day, and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future returns.
