Losses to crypto hacks reached $75.87 million across 40 discrete incidents in June 2026, per PeckShield’s monthly tally cited by Phemex News, BeInCrypto and Yahoo Finance. The figure is down 7.13% from May’s $81.7 million.
Top incidents
Humanity Protocol topped the list at $31 million, drained on June 9 via a private‑key compromise (see separate report). Syscoin Bridge lost $10 million after an attacker minted unauthorized SYS tokens. The JaredFromSubway.eth MEV bot lost $7.5 million. Polymarket users lost $3 million in a phishing campaign, with SecondFi ($2.4M) and TESSERA ($2.4M) rounding out the top of the list.
The H1 2026 picture
PeckShield’s H1 2026 aggregate crossed $750 million in cumulative losses. Bridge exploits and administrative key compromises continue to dominate the loss profile — smart‑contract logic bugs are a smaller share of the total than they were three years ago, and social engineering / infrastructure compromises are a larger share.
